The Colton Baschke Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization. All donations and contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
We use the money we receive from donations and fundraisers towards our three main programs, which are outlined in the section above. These programs were created to address specific needs in our community.
We believe that no pet or human should go hungry. Our Pet Food Assistance Program offers food or vouchers to qualifying individuals, organizations dedicated to helping animals, and others that need financial assistance purchasing pet food. To apply for assistance please click the link provided on this page.
Medical euthanasia is a rising occurrence due to costs of unexpected veterinarian bills. A problem that shelters face are animals being surrendered due to the owners being unable to provide medical care for their animal. Our goal is to help owners keep their pets by providing financial assistance for qualifying individuals. Our Pet Health Program offers financial assistance for spaying, neutering, medication, unexpected vet bills, and medical emergencies.
Another huge problem shelters face is pet owners failing to neuter or spay their pets. The amount of pets in shelters is rising due to unexpected liters and we believe a way to combat that problem is by spaying and neutering all pets.
We hope to offer a spaying and neutering clinic in the future.
The Community Enrichment Program offers scholarships to Iowa Lakes Community College students, donations to animal shelters, donations to sponsor pet adoptions, backpack program for the local youth, and adopt-a-family efforts during the holiday season. Our community is important to us and we believe in supporting area residents by offering these unique programs.
